1) When shopping online, make sure you take your time. There are so many bargains available. Read reviews too (lots found here!).

2) If you have a friend who is informative about guitars, have him / her help you choose the right model / type. If you do not have a friend that knows about guitars, then do a little research online. Some good sites are listed in our footer, or you can start with WikiPedia, Guitar.LoveToKnow.com, or GuitarTips.addr.com.

You can get a good deal when you buy a guitar, even if you are not an expert -- take your time, read reviews and shop around online.
